I looooved this shoot, click it was everything elegant and beautiful I could imagine from this color palette. The people I worked with were amazingly talented and had such an elegant vision.

For the invitations, I wanted to do a very soft, vintage style feel. I used calligraphy and a monogram that was of European style. I was picturing a vintage feeling with the cotton paper and the wax seal. I loved how it turned out. Sometimes simple color palettes work best with more detailed design.

So I am now putting this invitation suite in my etsy shop. The files can be made to get gold foil or I can do a white or neutral ink if you want to go the less expensive route. I think the tone of this invitation is very romantique and mysterious and perfect for fall. I wanted it to feel very classical but modern using the splashes of gold foil on top of the floral painting and the modern brushy typography. I picture this wedding being in the gardens of England with fountains and ivy everywhere. The lighting would be very low and the overall look of the wedding is a classic midsummer nights dream. I had the opportunity to work with some amazing people this last week on a really fun styled shoot. I will post more detailed images of the invitation suite on my blog soon. I feel so grateful I can participate in fun shoots like these.  I love art and artistic people, prescription it is so exhilarating to be creative and work with people who are the same.

It is hard to see but I watercolored the background with light pink paint strokes and then did gold foil lettering on top.

I never think of using the color purple for weddings but recently I have done some purple themed weddings. Its funny how colors go in and out and purple is all the rage right now and it just so happens to be the color of the year for 2014. My sisters favorite color is purple and so it was fun for me to try new things. I did a watercolor purple invitation for her which is now available on my etsy shop. Here are some of the fun highlights including a chalkboard signs, store flower arrangements and any printed pieces I did for this wedding.
