Branding for Salt and Light hair was so much fun because it was in allignment with my own style right now. When a client and a designer are a perfect match magic happens and everything about the project ends up being so inspiring. I love working on dream team projects like this because I feel so creatively fulfilled. That is why I do this for a job, because it lets me use my creativity and imagination in creating a cohesive end result. I seriously love creating and it drives my passion for design and thus a huge circle just keeps going round and round and more amazingness comes out.

Amanda wanted something light and airy with a boho feel and some more earthy tones. The name of her company says it all and the color palette she picked really exudes the essence of salt and light. She is incredibly talented and her site is so beautiful!

I can’t even begin to tell you how much fun working on this project was. It was my first job back from maternity leave and I really needed a creative outlet after three months away from design. This brand has an organic travel vibe that is so soothing and comfortable. We wanted something unique but approachable and I think we found the perfect solution. I am in love with the palette on this, it has such a great balance of shades all coming from nature.

I have been really really into this band Young Summer and I wanted to incorporate it into my free fonts post so… each phrase is a title of one of their songs that I love. I know I already posted their “Waves that rolled you under” but I want you to listen to it if you have the time. If is the  perfect fall song! I also wanted to do some experimentation with some colors and collage looking styles. I love design so much because it is full of endless possibilities. Sometimes things work out and sometimes they don’t but its all fun and I am so grateful this is what I spend my days doing. #happydesigner

If you know anything about me over the last few years, site you know Young Summer is one of my favs. I have probably posted a number of their songs on my blog and therefore decided they were a perfect band for me to do some fan art for. Their songs are so soft and seriously sound like summer at the beach. They have a good beat but not too much rowdiness and the lyrics are fantastic.

For the design I wanted something that showed what I saw in my head, viagra sale a sunset. I loved the pinks and purples that made this one more girly and soft. The typography needed to add some contrast so I did very modern almost barcode looking elements at the bottom. The YS was really fun too because I got to play around with a logo mark and I really love how it turned out.

Well its that time again. Time for a new, awesome summer mix. This one is getting bigger and bigger because of all the fun songs I am finding. I have been riding my bike a ton with my husband and I have my little isound speaker that I put in my basket and jam out with this mix. I love summer time and just being outside, whether it’s cruising on my lil’ mint cruiser or rolling down the windows and blasting a good song with my hands out the window and some lovely sunglasses. I love swimming and pretty much never have time to do it, but this summer I am going to go no matter what. My summer plans consist of going to Canada and girls camp so….nothing so summery but I will find a way. I live on Pinterest and therefore I see tons of sexy suits each day. I am a lover of black and white and navy and I am loving the keyhole thing so I made a collection of suits that are available to buy right now to give everyone a boost in swimwear buying.

So Megan’s wedding finally came and it was beautiful. That is the amazing part of Alberta Canada, you can go in the field and find tons of babies breath to make a giant swag for the isle two days before the wedding. The big trees and the endless fields of gold made the perfect peaceful location. Everything was beautiful but I am so glad its over (diva). I made the chalkboards the day before and it was way stressful but I feel like it made the finishing touch. The photographer also did such a great job on capturing all the little details. The chalkboard element really added a creative touch to her outdoor wedding.
