Bohemian Styled Shoot

I loooved this shoot, it was so different and the colors were so fun to work with. The idea of having a VW bus in the worlds cutest color makes for an awesome shoot. For the invitation suite, I wanted to do something a little more free and less formal. I did a fun watercolor wash and then some messy calligraphy to add to the organic feel. I wanted to add a bit of texture and detail by using a papercut made from a stencil by American Crafts in the Dear Lizzy Serendipity collection I helped design. Since I don’t scrapbook I thought I would use it in a different way by tracing it onto paper and using an exacto knife to cut out the shapes, it was really easy just very time consuming, I am planning on doing a tutorial soon.

I was so blessed to work with amazing people and it all came together perfectly, I couldn’t be happier with everything.

A BOHEMIAN WEDDING

Kim and Alex. I finally got these pictures and I honestly couldn’t be happier for this couple. Kim is one of my best friends and we have been through so much together, the fact that she found Alexander was such an answer to our prayers. They are such a strong couple, not to mention they have fantastic taste. Kim has a funky, earthy style and her bohemian wedding was a really fun thing for me to participate in. I designed some watercolor floral invitations in her pretty fall colors. Her wedding was such a dream onto of the valley and with all the beautiful flowers by Lizy Bowden gave the perfect feeling of fall and earthy beauty.

CHALKBOARD WEDDING

So Megan’s wedding finally came and it was beautiful. That is the amazing part of Alberta Canada, you can go in the field and find tons of babies breath to make a giant swag for the isle two days before the wedding. The big trees and the endless fields of gold made the perfect peaceful location. Everything was beautiful but I am so glad its over (diva). I made the chalkboards the day before and it was way stressful but I feel like it made the finishing touch. The photographer also did such a great job on capturing all the little details. The chalkboard element really added a creative touch to her outdoor wedding.
