Figuring out what I’m taking to ALT has kind of been hard because I have never been before. Luckily I found a few articles that really helped me and now I think I have everything I need.

First my laptop for notes. If you don’t have a laptop bring a notebook with lots of pages so you can write your little heart out. Say no to those tiny cute ones that make you look good but won’t help you in the end. And don’t forget lots of pens incase you lose one amongst the hustle and bustle.

Business cards are a must. They recommend 250-300 because this event isn’t just about learning from the speakers, a huge part of it is meeting new people and finding opportunities to collaborate. I was advised to bring a small makeup bag or clutch type bag for cards I’m giving and one for cards given to me so I can be organized. Also going through the ones you are given each night and marking them with notes or conversation points will keep you from being overwhelmed at the end. Oh and don’t forget you thin point sharpie so you can write on any type of card that comes your way.

Clothes are important. Well they are important to me hehe. I think looking great will attract the people you are looking for, especially if you are a fashion blogger (but you already know that). I do think it is important to wear comfortable shoes since you will be standing a ton throughout the day but for the events at night, dress to the nines, people want to see who you are and why you’re a star.

Come ready to talk. I am a talker so I am sure I won’t have any problems with this but some people do. Something like this may be out of your comfort zone but remember the reason you are going and the more your business or blog grows the more you will have to talk to people.

Good luck! It’s going to be so fun and you are going to learn so much, so just enjoy the time off and live it up!
